About Underrun

Underrun is a dark, atmospheric top-down shooter packed into a tiny browser game. You wake up inside a failing research facility overrun by hostile machines. Your job: fight your way through each level, reboot the offline systems and find out what happened. Aim with the mouse, keep moving and pick your fights, because the spider bots swarm fast and the sentry turrets never miss twice. Health packs are scarce and every level gets harder. The retro pixel look, dynamic lighting and a pounding synth soundtrack give it the feel of a much bigger game, yet it loads in a moment. Originally made for the js13k game jam, where the whole game had to fit in 13 kilobytes.

How to play

Move: WASD or arrow keys. Aim: mouse. Shoot: left mouse button. Click the screen to start. Needs a keyboard and mouse.
